What is a Community Group?

Gathering weekly for fellowship and accountability, study and prayer, good times and tears, Mars Hill community groups are an essential expression of our church’s mission.

“For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.” – Romans 12:4-8

How do I get into a Community Group?

There are two ways to get into a Community Group. It’s simple:

1. Go to the Connect Desk in the main lobby during any of our four services on Sunday and ask a volunteer with a “I Can Help” name-tag on, for help getting plugged into a Community Group.
2. Email our Community Groups Pastor, Adam Christiansen at AdamC@marshill.com for assistance in finding a Community Group.

We gather in community groups with our friends and neighbors to live life together and experience the gospel in ways we can’t on our own. They are a place to wrestle with the truths of the Bible, love one another, serve the city, and participate in the mission of God for Mars Hill.
